Biography

Kendall is from Saratoga Springs, NY and a Senior majoring in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering with a Minor in French. Her initial interest in aerospace began when she was young, as she was fascinated by space and would attend rocket launches and study the stars with her family. As she grew older, her interest in robotics grew, leading her to pursue a dual-degree in Mechanical and Aerospace. Kendall is now an active member of Princeton Rocketry, where she led the International Rocket Engineering Team to launch a rocket to 30,000 feet. Outside of engineering, Kendall enjoys cooking new foods, watching football with her family, and learning new languages.

Research

Kendall's research primarily focuses on the BlueGuppy project, which she works on under Dr. Hungtang Ko, a postdoctoral researcher in the SSR Lab. She explores the hydrodynamics of fish schools, building swarms of BlueGuppy robots, which are small maneuverable robotic fish. In arranging these fish in the water channel and sensing forces and obtaining flow visualization, she hopes to gain valuable information about the benefits of these formations and how they could be applied to underwater UAV research.
