Biography
Annalisa is from London. She is a Senior majoring in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering with a Minor in Robotics. Her interests include bio-inspired design and robotic systems, with a particular focus on structural analysis. Outside of academics, Annalisa enjoys reading Steven King novels, crochet projects, and painting.
Research
Annalisa is developing a mechanism to enable the instantaneous deployment of the pectoral fins of a flying fish robotic model organism (RMO) as it exits the water. In addition, she is working on a collapsible pectoral fin that will be attached, resulting in a robot that can seamlessly transition from swimming to gliding.
